Her Story

Keiko grew up in Nagasaki — a truly unique city where Western and Eastern cultures first fused together in Japan. Raised in a household shaped by Christian and Buddhist values, her family instilled in her a deep sense of kindness, compassion, generosity, and creativity. Her grandfather ran a successful fishery business, and her mother inspired her with poetry, flower arrangements, and beautiful fish cookery.

Intrigued by Western culture, Keiko moved to London to study Fine Art — and simultaneously began her cooking career. Working in professional kitchens where she was often the only woman, she refused to quit. She kept learning, growing, and striving to offer the very best.

"I found myself and Art in Sushi."

In 2008, after the restaurant she worked for closed, Keiko took the leap and started everything from scratch — building her own website and landing her first client just one month later. Today, she is London's Sushi Queen.

Prestigious Partnerships & Celebrity Clients

Keiko's work as a sushi chef has earned her partnerships with some of the most prestigious restaurants in the UK, including Benihana, Matsuri, The Colony Club, Ozu County Hall, AAYA, Sake no Hana, The Savoy, and Gordon Ramsay Restaurant.

She has had the honour of cooking for celebrated names including supermodel Karen Mulder, Oasis, Devon Aoki, Geri Halliwell, Pat Kensit, Chelsea FC players, Boyzone, Natalie Portman, and Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub — producer of Ocean's Eleven.
